Here is a small selection of my MA Glass exploratory practice experiments. I am interested in contrast so I wanted to test how different makes of glass, formats of glass, inclusions and shapes of sculpture behaved in terms of colour flow, internal and external texture. I had two control forms being a miniature version of a larger sculpture that I had previously made (the circular piece) and a long thin sculpture in the form of a branch. The circular piece is based on light that falls through forests, the texture on the back represents trees and the texture on the side is bark. It is circular because I was first struck by the effect when in the Arctic Circle!
