Artist Statement

I make kiln-cast glass and mixed media sculptures most recently combining leather, glass and bronze. The focus of my work is contrast which I create through texture, form and colour from ideas and designs that are strongly influenced by natural abstract forms and life experiences.  I use different raw materials and techniques to produce effects in the finished work.  I am increasing scale and complexity whilst expanding and developing my design ideas.  Being passionate about the work that I do and finding it all consuming I get most excited about new ideas, modelling and experimentation.
