Claire Crawford is a sculptural mixed media artist with an extensive background of working in glass and most recently combining kiln-cast glass with leather and bronze.  She first started with kiln-cast glass in 2009 principally tutored by Fiaz Elson along with a largely self-led and exploratory approach.  The use of natural form as the inspiration for her work has stayed with her to date.  Claire went on to take a Master’s degree in Glass at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham and finished in September 2017 having achieved a distinction.  During the degree course her style progressed to making mixed media sculptures of scale for large interior spaces which is a path she continues to follow and explore.
